Tammera J. Karr received her Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health and national certification through the American Naturopathic Certification Board, American Association of Drugless Practitioners and the American Association of Nutritional Counselors. She is currently doing clinical work toward her Ph.D. in the areas of malnutrition in the chronically ill.
She is a member of the Life Extension Foundation, the American Holistic Health Association, and the American Association of Nutritional Counselors. Tammera provides targeted whole natural food and nutritional supplementation counseling to clients throughout the United States and Canada via internet, phone and in person. Additionally she provides cutting edge laboratory testing to her clients.
Tammera is the author of numerous health-related articles available in the Reading Room of this website. Her audio presentations on the health benefits of Velvet Elk Antler from 8-9 Wellness is available upon request.
Currently Tammera has a private practice located in Roseburg, Oregon, where she specializes in diabetes, hepatitis C, gastric disorders, natural hormone therapies, and high blood pressure. She supports the use of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for all individuals.
Tammera teaches Holistic Nutrition classes through her local community college, is the co-founder and director of the Path to Wellness program for Douglas County, and the director of the Longevity Today conference through Umpqua Community College.
She is concerned with the excessive amount of excito-toxins present in the daily intake of processed foods and the dangerously low nutrient content consumed by people of all ages.
As an advocate for personal responsibility, Tammera feels positive, lasting health improvement, quality of life and longevity obtained through implementing permanent lifestyle changes in the areas of dietary, physical and spiritual choices are possible for everyone.
